The images below are all from the web site Square America. Your assignment is to use each photograph as a prompt to write the first line (or two) to a first-person story. Move fairly quickly through the photographs without editing your opening lines. Once you’re done, though, choose the five best opening lines and work on revising them to make them as effective and evocative as possible, then add the file to the “Exercise 1” folder on Google Docs.
